I have a Colt CCO Gunsite model that is assuming the role of my primary CCW piece. I want to replace the standard irons with night sights for better visibility in low light conditions. I have trijicon three-dot night sights on my Glock that seem to work well, but I've also seen some other configurations out there. ANy suggestions for something that will be an easy fit on my CCO, will provide a good and fast sight picture, and will be bright and durable?

I'll second the Novaks. My SiGARMS GSR 1911 came stock with them, and they're awesome. They've got a great anti snag low profile. The sight picture is clear, and its quick and easy to aquire. They're also solid and well finished - the quality exceeded my expectations.

I kind of like the idea of those Heinie Straight Eights. ANother one I've looked at is the XS 24/7 Express sights, which use a vertical bar in the rear. Anyone have an opinion on those?

I have Novaks on my CBOB - very nice sight picture, not too bright as to distract your target acquisition and shaped just right so it shouldn't snag on anything.
