Im looking at getting night sights for my new Glock 23 (my main carry gun) i dont like the 3 dot tritium setup so I've narrowed it down to Heinie straight 8 slant pros or XS standard dot sights.

Anyone have any pictures of these sights or any experience with them?

They're both about the same price. I just want to find something that gives me a quick sight picture and still lets me make accurate shots.

I loooove the Heinie straight-8s. I had them on my XD40 service that I sold a long time ago. I think those sights are the only reason I miss that gun so much. Great sights all around..

In fact, I'm thinking about selling my stock Glock night sights to fund some Heinie straight-8s for my 19:)

I like the straight eights but I have Ameriglos on my M&P. Green in the front and yellows for the rear. I really like them. My first choice between those two however would be the Heinie's.

I had XS Big Dot night sights on a Glock G36 and didn't like them. Although quick on target, they lack precision for accurate work beyond 7 yards. My personal preference is Meprolites.

sure do

I sure do like my xs24/7 big dot nite sites on my Kahr PM9. Very fast target acquisition, certainly not a target shooting site at 25 yards, but extremely fast and accurate at 15 and under. My second choice would be the Heinie..

I have a set of Heinie Slant-Pro Straight Eights on one of my 1911's.

I love 'em. I'll probably get a set for my XD and M&P.

The pictures on the Heinie web site and on the XS web site do a good job of showing what they look like.

I was leaning towards the Heinie sights from the start. something about the XS sights just seems like it would lack accuracy. Seems like it would make transitioning between pistols problematic too.

Strait Eights it is.

Accuracy with XS Big Dot Sights is a shooter problem, not a problem inherent in the sights. I have them installed on my G19 and, while it took a few hundred rounds to get used to them, they're as accurate as any other sight I've used. I have not problem shooting potatoes at 35 yards. I also have them installed on my Remington 870 shotgun.

James Yeager demonstrates accuracy using XS Big Dot Sights on a G19: CLICK HERE His experience agrees 100% with mine.

Cheers!
