Just a quick question about night sights. I'm thinking about getting some for a Glock 20. Do any of you prefer Trijicon over Meprolight, or vice versa? Any opinions on the Meprolight adjustable night sights?

Many thanks for your feedback!

Chocolate vs Vanilla; I hear / read that the Trijicon are better than the Mepro's. I have seen new Trijicon that almost seem to bright, even visible in day light. I have Mepro's on my Glock 21 and they seem to do just fine. They look like regular sights in the day light and give off a very visible warm green glow in the dark. They can be seen from across a large room. I guess that when they die out that there wil be some research, but as that is several years away; I'll cross that bridge then. So which is better? I think it's a matter of personal preference. If you have a good gun shop go see if they have some of each and give them a look. I like my Mepro's. P.T.

I have both

Trijicons on my Sig P229 and Mepros on my H&K P7M8. The Mepros are a little larger, a little easier to see in the dark, but there is nothing wrong with the Trijicons. Flip a coin or go with what's less expensive.

After debating this, I put Mep's on all my guns. The Mep's seem to offer a larger sight area for day time acquisition and they usually cost less. I think sights usually last from 8-12 years so you'll get your money's worth.

I was going to make a new thread, but saw this one, and figured i'd pop my question in here.

I just got a S&W M&P 9mm. I'd love to get some night sights for it, but i'm not sure which ones to get. (I don't mean meprolight vs. trijicon, I mean which models of either of these to get.) I don't see a specific set on either website for the S&W M&P pistol.

I have all three!

On differnt guns. I have adjustable meps on my new G34, I honestly can hardly tell them apart from my 6 year old tri's except the meps are a tad brighter. Also the finish is coming off which is kind of troubling because the gun is a range gun and is carried cradled in a soft blanket. I like that they are easily adjustble, on that gun anyway.

I just got truglo TFO's on my new 23 and they are GREAT!!! I have a feeling they could be a little more fragile though, there is more to them. It's my nightstand gun, I try to be careful when cleaning to get as little solvent on them as possible. They are large bright and clear!

Nightsights are great, I put my glasses on my gun so if I need them I just look for the glowing dots.

I second the Truglo TFOs. I put a set on my Kimber Custom II and wow are they bright. Very easy to aquire during the day or night.

Another vote for the Tru-Glo TFO. I put them on a Glock 21 and they are superb. I now put them on a G19 and G26 also. For Olde Eyes, the dual purpose of excellent in day and night can't be beat.
