Night Vision; anyone have any experience with ATN’s stuff?

Title says it all. They seem priced well for what they say they are. I can’t find much online about them though, which makes me nervous. Anyone have any other their stuff? Thoughts?

Not a fan of NV's but used them in the military. Only advice that I could give is that you save up money for a good generation model. Do not go cheap because you will be disappointed and still have wasted a ton of money.

I learned that the hard way. Gen 1 stuff is only marginally better than moonlight. I have yet to see any Russian import (ATN) impress me.

Save your money...get a US built gen 2 or 3.

ATN is not a Russian import. It is an American company, formerly run by Russians (maybe still is, but the Tarakanovs left), and the parts for much of their gear is made in China. ATN has the worst reputation for customer service.

I have not owned an ATN myself, but one of my regular coon hunting buddies bought one (I forget which model, but recall retail was ~$2700). It worked well for a few months, but then would not power up any longer. He’s 16 months into his warranty repair/replacement cycle, and they haven’t given him an answer as to when to expect resolution. So he had a product for ~3-5 months, it failed, and now it has been over a year which he hasn’t had it because they’re taking too long to fix it.

That was enough to turn me off of their “attractive prices” when I’m looking for my next one.
