I have a CZ 527 Carbine chambered in 7.62x39. I've had it a year now, and until lately had always just used the iron sights. My vision has taken a downhill slide lately, so I decided to try a scope on this little rifle. Before buying something specific for the CZ (I'm looking at Leupolds), I topped it with a Nikon 4x32 Prostaff rimfire scope that I'd bought 8-9 years ago. I really liked the combination; the little Nikon seems right at home atop the CZ. I was even able to get some rested 1.5-inch groups at 100 yards using Russian Brown Bear ammo. I think it'd shoot into an inch with better loads. I suppose I could wish for a bit more magnification, but the Nikon 4X just feels good. I'm concerned, though, that the scope's 50-yard rimfire parallax setting might be a problem. Is that a big deal? Come to think of it, most of my shots on whitetail over the years have been well under 100 yards, and I doubt I'd take a much longer shot in that caliber anyway. Should I just be content? :)

Well, you know it works to 100. Try it at 150, just so you feel good about it. If it works, it works.
