Does anybody have any experience or opinions on this scope? I’m looking to upgrade one of my 10/22 scopes that is currently wearing an older Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9x40, which is ok but not great, and it’s the BDC reticle is annoying. This rifle is used mostly for squirrel hunting. I was considering a Vortex Diamondback or Leupold Freedom, both of which I own and like, but then this scope caught my eye. Supposedly made in Japan which is also a plus. Just looking for some feedback, specifically regarding clarity and eye relief. Thanks.

SFWA typically produces good sound products.

That looks like a peach of a rimfire scope! I wouldn’t hesitate trying one.

I Was really considering one of the centerfire versions for my 7-08, but decided to go leupold vx3hd (@ slight weight, max power and cost penalty) based on the reviews i could find... Primary complaint being the optical quality at the top end.

If you do decide to go with it, I'll be interested in hearing your opinion.

I'm waiting for SWFA to put them on sale, to put on my Savage Mk II FV-SR, which currently has a Nikon Prostaff 4X scope on it.

I have the centerfire version of SWFA's Ultralight scope on my hunting AR308.

I have three SWFA scopes. I'm pleased with them. They're built like a tank.

How is the image quality in eye relief at max power?
Stats list it at 2.5" which seems shorter than id think, but i havent found any real confirmation if its correct or a miss print.

SWFA SS scopes are “get it done” tools.

Plain - vanilla adequate glass, perfectly adequate reticles, and excellent tracking.

And, bombproof with an excellent price.

Really want to try the cf one but the short eye relief is worrying, love to handle one and try out probably be good on a AR build tho. The rimfire one maybe nice if I get a nice squirrel rifle I'd like to get together, I'd definitely consider these and the luepold 2hen scope hunting.

I've been toying with the idea of getting the centerfire version. The SS scopes were the goto scopes a while back, especially the fixed 10x.

I'm still on the fence though. I've watched a bunch of the videos on YouTube by C_Does. He seems to do a pretty good job of reviewing scopes and after watching his videos on the SWFA scopes, my takeaway was that they have mediocre glass and iffy tracking. With offerings from Arken, Athlon and the like, the decision isn't so clear cut.

Had a fixed reg SWFA SS 12X on my .22lr and found the glass lacking.
Have not done tracking tests, but it was replaced w an ugly Leupold Freedom VX 6-18X.
Because nobody had the 4-12X version.

SWFA stuff is on sale, so pretty safe bet to see if one likes or not.
Peoples eyes and wants can differ.

Im looking at a Nightforce SHV or Leupold Mark 3HD as next purchase.
And I'll still need a pretty scope for a Ruger #1.
Hopefully done then.
