Am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Nikon Primos 3x9x40 for my AR. This scope is a BDC type, but nowhere can I find if It comes with inserts or dials in for different calibers.
Am also considering a Swift 4.5x14x44 mil-dot. How do they compare? What's the warranty on the Swift?
Anybody know about these scopes?
Thanks

The BDC is not adjustable for different calibers, but it was engineered to work over a wide range of common loads. I sighted my 30-06 in at 100 yards with 150 and 165 grain loads at the standard 2900fps (give or take, and yes, the 165 loads are max loads at that velocity) and the BDC reticle is reliable out to past 300 yards on my 3-9 Monarch. I hope to get out this week to test it at 400 and 500 yards. Haven't handled the Primos, but I like the BDC and they're supposed to be good for the money.

Looking forward to a review. If you get a chance to shoot at longer ranges let us know how the BDC works with your loads.
