Any one have experiance with nikon scopes on a 50BMG? I'm picking up an unexpected BA50 on friday (to good a price to pass for a toy i've really wanted for a while), and would like to play with it untill I can order a Nightforce next paycheck. I have a Monarch 6.5-20x44mm I could use on it temporarily, but I don't want to frag the Monarch if it's not going to take the double recoil impulse.
If its not going to work, I'll wait untill I get the 5.5-22x56mm nightforce. Secound question, what height badger max 50 rings will the 56mm nightforce need to clear the rails on the BA 50. I want it as low as possible. Thanks in advance to all the 50 shooters helping a new owner. I shot the m82a1 Barrett the Special Forces guys had when i was in the Army, and have wanted one ever since. Thanks Dave
