Can I get this scope mounted within medium height rings somehow?

Need a little assistance in determining if this is possible.

Got a new Savage 12BVSS in Win .243 that I'll be mounting a Nikon Monarch Long Range 6.5-20x44 scope onto.

I'd like to use the Burris 2-Piece Dual-Dovetail Base along with Burris 1" signature rings.

Problem is I'm pretty sure this arrangement is going to require high/tall Burris Signature rings for clearance purposes (at least that's what it appears looking at Burris' mounting information on their web site).

I'd much rather mount this scope at medium height though. Is there any way I can achieve this while still using the Burris Signature style rings in the medium height? If not using the Burris Signature rings, is there any other base/ring arrangement, even from another manufacturer, that could get this scope mounted at medium height?

Suggestions?

Its possible that medium rings would clear but probably not, no way to know for sure unless someone has the same rifle/scope combination and has used medium rings. The problem is usually the objective bell of the scope or the paralax ajustment ring coming in contact with the barrel. If you are ordering the rings I'd opt for the high rings unless I had plenty of time to return them.
Burris does offer shims to go under the bases but they are not intended for use in raiseing the bases for scope barrel clearance, just to level the rings.

You'll probably need the high rings...

...I just mounted a 3X12X44 on my Winchester M-70 featherweight with Leupold bases & medium rings, and there's barely room enough for a gun cloth between the scope bell and barrel. Your heavier barrel will likely not be tapered enough to clear.

Thanks for those observations guys - I'm kinda' thinking this is where I stand too.

Since I'm going to be purchasing from MidwayUSA I think I'll just go ahead and order both sets of rings just to be safe and return the improper/unused set for a refund. Seems like my most efficient route to the solution...
