Anyone here have good experience with Nikon warranty repairs? I do not so far. I returned one of their P .223 scopes because on only my 3rd trip to the range, the screw that holds the elevation turret in place popped out while I was shooting. I went online and followed all their instructions for returning for repairs. Included in my package was a very detailed account of what as wrong with the scope. I just received it back yesterday (about 3 weeks later) and immediately could tell it was not fixed. Before I returned it, I had tried to fix it myself, however what ever that screw threads into is free spinning inside the scope. After a few turns where it seemed to be screwing back in, it would start to back itself out. If I screwed it in just until that point, it held the turret in place, but only loosely. So that's how I got it back. They completely disregarded the written description I had enclosed. So, my other question is this. Has anyone been able to repair something like this themselves? As of right now, Nikon is supposed to email me return labels "sometime in the next 4 days". I'd rather not deal with all this nonsense again. Thanks for listening and any helpful input you might be able to offer.

I had a Nikon 4-16x50 Monarch that would not zero. I sent it to Nikon last year and they sent me a new scope 2 weeks later. It sucks you have to send it off again, but that may be your best bet to get yours repaired correctly or replaced.
