I want to replace the nipples on my 1860 army made for Dixie Gun Works in 1969 by Uberti. May also change my Navy Arms New Army made in 1968 also with a Uberti mark.
Question is nipples for Ubertis are listed as 12-28 and Pietta using 6 mm.x .75.
Both of my guns are 6mm.x.75.
Thinking about Slix Shot, but dealer listings don't give size only Pietta or Uberti.

Don't blindly order your nipples online. The Italians change their minds more often than I change my underwear. Call Track of the Wolf and tell them what you have, they are very helpful and they machine their own nipples. They have an excellent SS nipple and they designed them to use CSI #11 caps so they fit without pinching or setting them with a wood dowel. I'm speaking from pure experience I have no connection with them other than being very satisfied with their product. I won't buy from a company that is to remote or too big to talk to.

You need to measure yours to be sure; but, my experience with early Ubertis is that they used the short (.501) 6mm x .75 nipples. The current manufacture Pietta nipples are long (.515) 6mm x .75 nipples. The Slix Shots are long nipples. Treso makes the short ones and they are available from The Possible Shop. If you try to use the long nipples, your caps will probably drag on the recoil shield.

This thread should be able to help you out as well.

Every guy that has checked out this thread at first was expecting to see something else ?

I've been using #10 Rem caps with the Slix Shot nips on a 58 Remmie without problems. A friend also has a Spanish 70's 58 Remmie using the same nips and caps without problems. Better than the stock nips.

Ordered a set of Slix-Shot nipples today for my 1860 Army.
Every gun I own uses #10 caps so did not want to get a caper just for 11s.
As for the length this gun needs longer nipples, I have found that one set of nipples I tried had to be backed out 1/4 turn to fire.As far as length the over all
another set I have is longer but from shoulder to top is shorter.
Have figured out this gun was made for Dixie Gun Works in1969 by Uberti and uses 6mm, x.75 nipples.
Will post when I have tried them.
