I tried those but they wouldn't even feed consistently in my Marlin 60 but, when they did manage to make it into the chamber they fired just fine.
 
If you live in a sparsely populated area with neighbors within earshot, the quieter rounds can be very useful for varmint elimination and general plinking fun. I can zero in any scope or sight fairly accurately at 50 feet without having to drive to the range. They also work pretty good for bear redirection as well. Definately fun around the house and the neighbors don't get cranky.
