I believe your buddy is referring to the old Ohio law (obsolete since 2009, IIRC) concerning carrying a CCW handgun in a vehicle...where it had to be in a holster or case. At the time, there was much debate about the legality of Kel-Tec and such carry clips. There is no such car/holster requirement now, plus it never was about concealed carry on your person.I carry my P3AT in mt pants pocket. A buddy said that I am a law breaker and it is supposed to be in a holster. Is this true? We are both live in Ohio and have ccp bty.
Actually, the Ohio laws for car carry changed again (for the better) about a month ago (09-30-11).
I would encourage you to read the Ohio CCW laws if you are carrying a concealed handgun. Don't depend on what a buddy, thread responders, or I say.
That said, I would personally not carry without a holster, unless I had no other option. Carrying it around the house is a bit different than all day long, every day.
