Took the new kid on the block to the range this morning and gave it a workout.
It is a Ruger Vaquero, .44 mag in SS.
I was a little apprehensive about the recoil with the wood grips but it was fine except for the broken finger (it didn't break it, last week's accident). A variety of ammo, 240 mag, 200 gr spl., 180 gr mag, all felt fine. Four inch groups standing at 30', about the same at 25 yards off a cushion on me range box. As a shooter of 18 mos with 59 year old eyes I was happy.
Also sighted in the .44 carbine and warmed up the .44 Redhawk and the Model 19 S&W.
