Anyone know anything about this?

I have been waiting for CDNN to get Mec-Gar 16-round 9mm EAA Witness mags back into stock for much of the summer. I finally sent them an email and received a reply that essentially said "We do not anticipate getting any more of them and we have removed them from the website."

I was looking for these magazines for my Armscor/Rock Island MAP1, which is the smaller-framed Tanfoglio. EAA has stopped importing that frame, maybe this move is related.

They still list the factory mags, which are a few more bucks (and might be Mec-Gar for all I know) but I was curious whether anyone might have the inside scoop.

Email the guy above. He sells Mec Gar mags. I have bought from him several times and he is first rate. on his last list I got via email, he had the mags you were looking for.

Mags

I recently ordered two 16 round Tanfoglio mags from Bud's gun shop. They are marked with a T in a triangle. They even have the orange followers. I was surprised that I can force 17 rounds into them. The base plate is marked MADE IN ITALY. Good mags!

I get the feeling that Mec Gar makes has limited tooling and makes their mags in batches. I was having a really hard time finding CZ-75 mags back in June. I ordered some from Outdoorsportsdepot.com because they were the only site that didn't list them as "back ordered" and didn't want a fortune. It turns out they were on backorder just not listed as such on the website. I ended up emailing Mec Gar and they said the next run was expected to ship in sometime in September. Just yesterday my new shiny MecGar mags showed up from Outdoorsportsdepot...

Long story short, I'd hop over to Mec Gar's website and leave them a message. They emailed me back in a couple of days.
