No rifle hunting, Slug gun vs. Rifle.

I primarily hunt in MD and go up to Western MD for Rifle season there. You talk about sitting there with a rock in your stomach with all that gunfire around you. The rest of the state, I leave the slug gun at home and stick with my Thompson Center M/L, although I prefer land mines these days. Tends to save time in the field.

Remember these people who are scared of rifle/shotguns because *its too close* or the *magic bullet* and are antis always seem to end up with a deer through their windshield of their Merc sooner or later.

Buy a Savage muzzleloader and get along with it.
I love archery season, muzzleloader season, and have hunted with a slug -I wish they would open up a handgun ONLY season around here, just to mix things up.
Yeah, shooting a 300gr barns sabot slug over 62.5gr of H4198 isn't exactly what the "original" rules inferred to. It groups excellent from my ML10. @100yards

"...whats the point in having no rifle hunting in these States?..." There is no point. It's political. Logic doesn't apply to anything firearm or hunting related.
