No trial, no appeal, just lifetime detention

Article II, section 1, clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution. Nothing there about defending the American people

As free citizens, we are supposed to defend ourselves.

Unless I'm completely losing my memory, I could swear that Bush has said he has taken an oath to protect the American people.

Maybe I am losing my memory. After all, Bush never said that Iraq was involved with 9/11, but it sure seems like he did.
