Of course they're afraid of weapons that can puncture armor. When you're in the business of legislating our freedoms away, one bill at a time, you should be afraid.

No, unscrew the barrel, cut a couple threads off the back, screw it back in. You end up not being able to chamber standard 50BMG loaded rounds; you have to handload with the bullet set back a hair.

That's the cheap way to do a "wildcat" that's legal. And I *love* the idea of calling it the .499Girlieman.

There are those who would find this thread a little offensive, inasmuch as it appears that some posters suggest using large bore rifles to intimidate politicos and antigun celebs. I'm certaint that this would be a misconstruction, but it kind of reads that way.
