Non brass brass knuckles?

They have hard plastic brass knuckles that are made from a 3d printer. ..... I questioned the store owner about their legality and he said, because of the material they are legal.

And the store owner is a member of the Bar? He's done the necessary legal research? And even if they might be legal to have at your home in a display case, what about carrying them around with you?

A lot of people think they understand the law, and a lot of those people are wrong. And a lot of my colleagues have made their fortunes trying to help such folks get out the the messes they could have avoided if they had known what they didn't know.

He was definitely pressuring me to buy them. I wondered if I bought them and got in trouble if the store owner could be held liable. But anyway they were cool enough to keep at home and not take out with me.

First, if you get into trouble, it's your problem. The store owner is off the hook, so you alone will be helping your lawyer pay for his Mercedes.

Second, I have no way of knowing if where you live it's even legal for you to have those at home.

Good point, I honestly never considered if they would be illegal to own. I'm in Dover, DE.

To assure no further detours, I'll close this. If anyone has anything relevant and useful to discussion of Florida law on knuckledusters or similar implements made out of materials other than metal, send me a PM;' and I can consider re-opening this thread.
