SOG has some Yugo 8mm made in the 50's that they claim is non-corrosive. Do any of you have personal experience with this ammo or enough experience with SOG to trust their adds?

I wouldn't believe them. Post-war com-block ammo is ALWAYS corrosive in my book.

Then again, on their site, they have 250rds of linked 7,62x54. Claim they're the only distributor that has them, and they're going fast for only $47. Funny thing is, Sportsmans Guide has the exact same stuff for $29.

I would treat all the Yugo stuff as corrosive. However, I recently bought a case of Yugo brass cased 8mm ammo that is 1970s dated. It is really clean, shoots great and is very accurate. I got a 900 round case for about $100 delivered. I just make sure I clean the rifle as if the ammo is corrosive. I think I got it at the ammo man.

Yeah, not too difficult to run a patch of Windex through the barrel after a day's shooting. Better safe, eh?

SOG seems to think just about all of their stuff is non-corrosive. Bugs me that they say that, hopefully people who have purchased it didn't believe it... :(
