Looking for some ideas on a non slip surface for glock grips....tried the commercial ones and was not impressed...used a piece of bike tire inner tube but it kept splitting while firing at the range.....any ideas appreciated...I like the rubber grip better than the abrasive ones....what do you use ?

Skateboard tape:)

You may want to try TALON grips. They have a rubber pebble texture or a coarse skate board tape like feel. Not really a "grip" but a overlay.

People seem to love them. I just put some on my SW Victory 22 pistol. They fit very well and do add "grip" without increasing the size. Heck they are cheap enough to try.

Tried them....they didn't hold up after time as the adhesive started to slide on the gun grip......was thinkin' more like a rubber surface maybe a slip over.

Pachmayr does one. I tried it on a Gen4 G23, but decided to keep the gun as slim as possible. It might be worth trying. I've also used a Hogue slip on for a (worn smooth) Gen2 G21. As I remember it, that felt better than the Pachmayr I currently have.

Any sort of skateboard or slip resistant tread tape. Got this tape roll from Home Depot.

I've also used Talon grips. Those feel really good, but I didn't like that they started charging $20 for the mag extension stickers instead of including it with the mag stickers.

I didn't like Talon grips at all. They started to fall off after just a few months. And at the price they charge, I was pretty disappointed. I tried both Pachmyr and Hogue slip on rubber grips. They had the desired grip effect but all of them made the grip significantly wider and deeper. Not something I liked to deal with when I got accustomed to having my grip a certain way.

Through Google I found Traction grips. Pretty similar to Talons. Except they have lasted longer and are half the price. Win win in my book.

My Talons on my Glocks last for years. Washing the grip with dish washing soap and a toothbrush, followed up by wiping with denatured alcohol before applying, keeps the adhesive tight.
