DAYTON — One man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital on Wednesday night after he was shot at least once in the chest, police said.
The man, believed in his 30s, was taken to the hospital from a residence on Kammer Avenue, Dayton Lt. Randy Beane said.
The man was waiting at a bus stop in the vicinity of Westwood Avenue and Oakridge Drive about 9:30 p.m. when two men approached and words were exchanged, Beane said, and one of the men shot the victim after the exchange of words.
The victim then ran to the address on Kammer, where police were called.
The bullet went through his body and left him with a non life-threatening injury, Beane said.
