Thinking about a norinco AK. What price range is good. Also, not to big on the MAK 90 thumb hole stock, are there any issues I should be aware of if I get the gun and want to change stocks (legal and compatablility issues)

you will have to comply with 922r and replace foreign made parts untill it has no more than 10 of these parts that are foreign.

(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings
or stampings
(2) Barrels

(4) Mounting blocks (trunnions)
(5) Muzzle attachments
(6) Bolts
(7) Bolt carriers

(9) Gas pistons

(11) Triggers
(12) Hammers

(14) Disconnectors
(15) Buttstocks
(16) Pistol grips
(17) Forearms, handguards
(18) Magazine bodies
(19) Followers
(20) Floorplates

less than 10 foreign parts.your good to go

keep in mind, you need to replace/remove 6 parts.

a stock set (incl handguards counts as 3, a trigger group counts as 3)
