Norinco carbine 7.62x54

Found a Chinese Type 53 Mosin Nagant Carbine at my favorite LGS and am going to pick it up today. I've been looking at it for a day or two.

I haven't even taken a close look at markings or serial numbers... Gun will be a shooter- not a collector piece. The bore is in great condition, as is the bolt/action, and it is in essentially in great, stock, unrestored condition. Previous owner kept this carbine clean and oiled as he shot it too.

I'll be anxious to see the accuracy of the Norinco carbine vs the 91/30 Russian I have.

T53 is the Chinese M44.

All the T53 carbines I've seen have had stellar bores, but the stocks look like they were dragged behind a truck that fell off a cliff.

In other words, Very good shooters but cosmetically atrocious.
