Greetings, all.

I have a Norinco M213 9mm. It works well and is very enjoyable to shoot.

The problem is that when I field strip the weapon to clean it, I can't get the barrel bushing out of the slide. The field strip sequence I use (assuming safety-checked weapon) is

1. Push slide stop retention clip off the slide stop pin
2. Remove slide stop.
3. Remove slide, holding down recoil spring so it won't go flying
4. Remove recoil spring and guide

At this point, I turn the bushing to the 12 o'clock position and attempt to remove it from the slide. It doesn't come out, so I clean the barrel and whatever I can reach in situ.

I'd really like to remove the bushing so I can get the barrel out to clean properly and also so I can convert the pistol to the 7.62x25mm configuration.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!
