I have a ruger mini 14 in .223. I am now in the market for a scope for varmint hunting. I would like it to have about 20x maximum magnification. This is my first scope buying experience so when I first started looking I was inundated with all of the options. I am now trying to narrow it down. My main decision is should I go with a "normal" optical scope or with a "calibrated" .223 scope. From there i need to decide what brand to go with. I am also not looking to spend more that the rifle either.
