I have a non-resident CCP PA.
I also have a CCP for n.y.c. and the state on n.y.(retired law enforcement)
I like to ask does n.c. honor non-resident permits? PA.
I know n.y. permits are not reciprocated in n.c.
I have a part time residents in n.c. and spend at least 6 months out of the year in n.c.
I know S.C I am legal as long as the firearm is concealed in the veh: glove box console and doesn't have to be in view
I thought I just ask the pro's

I may just e mail the NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
LAW ENFORCEMENT
I can't seem to find any other info as far as non-resident PA CCP reciprocated in n.c.

The issue is whether you are a legal resident of NC.

The information on the attorney general's website provides NC will honor certain permits for non residents. Thus any NC resident must have a NC permit.

I don't think the Department of Justice can give you a ruling on whether you're a NC resident. You might want to consult an attorney. My guess is they will ask question along this line:
Where are you registered to vote?
Do you have a will, if yes - what state law is it written under. (If no, get a will drawn up - always important to have.)
Where are the majority of your contacts - for example, are you a member of a civic organization in the other state but not NC?
When someone asks for a home address what do you give them?

I'm a CPA and do taxes, state residency has big issues for tax matters.

PS, if you're a resident of PA and have a PA permit, looks like you're good to go. The list changes from time to time - here's the attorney general's site - which has a link to the current listing http://www.ncdoj.com/law_enforcement/cle_handguns.jsp

My primary resident is still in n.y.s.
I spend the winter months in N.C.
and do my tax returns to n.y.s..I stay in n.c. runs for about 3 months then a car drive trip back and forth from n.y. to n.c. about a 2 weeks around Easter time for the grandkids then back to n.c until the end of may.
