So Christmas Eve I took the kids out while "Santa" slipped by my wife we left at home and filled the kids stockings as we do each year.
At one yard display of lights we ran across Santa himself taking a break from his delieveries. This neighborhood goes all out and is visited by tons of folks every year. The kids were thrilled to see Santa and the youngest insisted on stopping. THE BOY is old enough that he was a bit embarassed and so I told him to go tell Santa I wanted a Brass Framed NMA Remington .44 for Christmas so as to keep his sister company
This he did.
Santa fixed me with a stare for a moment then commented "I have a problem getting the Elves to produce projectile throwing devices these days. I seem to recall however that when you were tweleve you asked for a 1851 Colt Navy .36 but as you had been a bit naughty that year I did not bring one."
The youngest was then assured by this that Santa IS real!
I can but hope for a visit from BP Santa at a future date as I thought this one was great....
......and he did not even have burnt spots in his beard or cap fragments on his coat!
If BP Santa happens to be lurking on THR, Thanks Santa, that was better than what I asked for.

He tells me that carrying real black on the sleigh would have been a pain in the tukus due to explosive regulations.
