Nosler 185 JHP, 45 ACP

Does anyone have a good load for the Nosler 185 JHP? I am loading VV N310 in the star Line Brass with Federal Primers. What is the best load, taper crimp and OAL (Over All Length) of the bullet. Would like something close to 800 fps.

If anyone is having problems getting new Star Line Brass to release from a Dillion 650 brass expansion die, try tumbling the brass before you try loading it you will find life a lot easier.

I do not know about the 185 Gr Nosler, but the Zero 185 Gr JHP and 4.6 Grs of N310 with a WLP primer @ 1.220 to 1.225 sure shoots great. It gives around 800 FPS, depending on the gun.

Yes, brand new brass can be "sticky" on expanders.

While this load seems safe in my guns, check data and use this load at your own risk.

Thanks Walkalong I'll try that I've heard the 185 Zero & Nosler bullets mesure and weigh about the very same.
