oooooo. Wow! Can I ask where you sourced the mod 70 style safety from? Or am I having a brain fart and that’s standard on that model…

FN made (not sure if they still do) a series of target/tactical rifles using the classic model 70 action paired with McMillan stocks calling it the FN SPR (special police rifle). Various law enforcement agencies employed them including the FBI

I bought one a few years ago and used it as a test bed to hone my precision rifle and hand loading skills.

After putting 6,000 rounds through it I decided to get a full custom rifle built for prone high power competitions and the FN SPR went into the safe.

A couple of years later I decided to use it as a base for a custom hunting rifle and the end result is as you see it…

That is about exactly what I wanna build. I am not tremendously familiar with FN rifles. Most of the ones I’ve had any experience with have been Mauser actions. I think I’m going to have to do some looking around at these. I was hoping to find a shot out model 70 somewhere. Maybe this will expand my search base a little :)
