Pensacola Gunshow seemed to be handled quite well. The line at opening was very long but moved nicely. While moving along the company was very upbeat & entertining. That was fun.

There were only two Sheriff Deputies handling ingoing firearms & ammo & frankly from what I could see, they kicked @$$. Very efficent & polite. (Kudoes Escambia County Sheriff's Dept.)

A couple hours down the Gulf Coast is a little gunshop, that I wish was closer. I called him looking for a certain handgun, which he had and asked him to bring it to the show. Of course I headed there first. There were some extra details but I won't bore you with that. The bottom line is that they took my Bersa Thunder in a trade & I am now the proud Papa of a Browning 1911-22. I did get $50 less than I wanted for the Bersa, but it is a livable circumstance.

Next I went for some 9mm ammo. Georgia Arms & another ammo dealer looked like a Wall Street market cornering, so I just moved on. I moved on, right into a table on the other side of of the mob madness & stumble upon a table from North Georgia Reloading. I don't know who they are but their prices were worth taking a chance on. Grabed a quick 500 rounds of their 115 grain supposedly 1150fps rating reloads for 139+tax. I'll have to review that later. If anyone knows them chime in please.

The topic of the day seemed to be AR's & ammo. (big suprise huh?) AR lookers were not happy with prices, but also weren't suprised.

I had a blast talking with the Cowboy Action table folks for about 20 minutes. They all looked like Gabby Hayes, so how can that not be enjoyable

I know everyone was not going to be as satisfied as me, but I had come close to writing off gunshows in general and this one gives me some hope.

A new Browning 1911-22 plinker & 500 9mm rounds to test fire, not too bad...
