This weekend is the gunshow in Indianapolis. If my back doesn't go out and if it doesn't snow deeply, I'm going. Anybody else? :)
The last Indy gunshow I went to was last summer. It was pretty nice. (Prices are generally better at the Louisville shows though.) However, I need some ammo and new grips for my Jetfire, so those prices should be OK. (I KNOW the ammo price will be better. It pays to have a good friend from THR who just "happens" :) to be selling the RBCD in 9MM & .38 Special which I need.)

At the last Indy show I attended a thing happened that should NOT have. Two men and a woman were looking at .38 Special J-Frames. I got the impression that the revolver was going to be a carry gun for the woman. She'd pick up one with a hammer and "heft" it, then she'd pick up a Centennial model and try "the feel" that one out. I stopped to watch. It's always nice to see a woman (or MAN) pick the "right" firearm. But then she decided to have a look at another table. So she *PITCHED* the J-Frame she was holding down on TOP of the other J-Frames! Just like it was a piece of fruit at the market! It landed with a sickening click-clank-click. The seller didn't see or hear. A nice experience immediately turned sour--and I walked on. How can someone treat another person's property (or ANY property) like that? SOOooo disrespectful to the revolver. And, very bad manners to boot.

El Tejon...

It was AWFUL!
Just imagine if those J-Frames were yours, and someone deliberately dropped one on the other. Just like it was WORTHLESS. REALLY AWFUL, NO CLASS BEHAVIOR.

In another thread..

Mike Irwin's New Year's pledge was "pistol whip people that deserve it"

I believe we have our first candidate of 2004 :D

I'll be there. I'm like a kid in a candystore. Even though I've been there so many times.

Yet even so, I think I run into the rudest people at the fun shows. And most of them are behind the tables.

Never seen any revolver tossing in all the gun shows that I have been to - Indy included. Pretty sad how inconsiderate some idividuals can be. I plan to be there this weekend - maybe there will be something there that I just can't live without! Most of my guns in the past few years have been bought from Albro's and Plainfield Shooting - both are always at the show.

Cordex and I will be there on Friday. I will be wearing my tan Molon Labe hat.

Unfortunately I am VERY broke at the moment so I won't be coming out of there with anything big, but I might leave with some ammo or reloading components.

Say Hi if you see us.

I am from S.W. Michigan, and am thinking about going to the show, and am wondering how Friday's crowd is. Are there a lot of tables empty til Saturday? I hope that the weather is good, or I am not going on a 4 hour trip down there. We just had had 5 inches of snow up here in Michigan, and it is heck to plan any trips. Hope I run into some of you down there, if you see a goofy looking guy with a Alaska Bush Pilot hat on, say hello...Greg
