Errors In Reporting
Reporter states someone fired a "rifle" at him.
Man indicated couch, comments that the "idea of shooting someone with a 12 ga slug" is kind of personal.
Interesting that the man (who is "not much of a gun person") knew what that was, and understood that that was a "personal" choice of ammo.
Later, he shoots the bad guy. "I meant to shoot him in the leg," but its a "wild gun" to shoot, and "I'm not that much of a gun person."
"That much" of a gun person? "Wild gun" to shoot? Notice that his choice of weapon is never mentioned. No mention made of his having purchased the gun after the first incident.
So, what, he already owned the "wild gun" prior to the first incident?
There are missing facts and contradictory facts in the story as reported.
Anyone have additional data?
