Rabbits and squirrels maybe. Wounded raccoons have a habit of getting testy, I'd want a firearm, or an air rifle of .25 caliber or larger.

I agree that it isn't suitable for humane racoon or 'possum use. Those bands look awfully light for much of anything but knocking over cans.

Someone posted about wrist rocket slingshots used on rabbits was inhumane. Couldn't finish them off in one shot, lots of anguished wailing. Use a high powered air rifle if you cant use rimfire.
