MrDig: As I've not yet owned a handgun, or attended any training class for a handgun, I only have one general impression about a CCW and will later learn a good bit.
If my comparison in the next few months indicates that a .380 or Makarov-caliber handgun allows more choices for an easily-concealable gun in a warm climate, then that could be the deciding factor as to which type of round.
Criticism, or even name-calling makes no difference regarding my decisions, and those who criticize using strong ridicule have little or no idea that it often hardens the other person's resolve or resistance.
But on gun websites etc, you can only guess about the type of emotion (if any was intended) in written words.
To worry about whether friends or total strangers (we will never meet) approve our decisions about homes, cars, bicycles, guns? No way....life is too short.
