I have ordered a supertuck from Crossbreed Holsters and I am curious to know how you guys wear yours.

What position do you guys or gals have your clips in? I am trying to find a starting point in finding the most comfortable way for me to wear it.

I wear mine at 3:00, and both clips on the third from the bottom holes. There is plenty of cant built in for me, with the front and rear clips set to the same holes. Any further back than 3, and I suspect you would want more cant. I am just not comfortable anywhere else.

Front clip is at 3:00 and set one hole lower than the rear, with the top of the Kydex just barely below the top edge of my pants. This works well for me, with an undershirt I can pack for 14+ hours with only minor adjustments, and I've packed without an undershirt for a few hours at a shot (it gets itchy fairly soon).

If you don't have a real gunbelt, get one ... it makes as much difference as the holster. I'm packing a Walther PPS in my SuperTuck, hanging it all from either a BeltMan belt or the CrossBreed offering (both are quite good).

3:00, one notch of forward cant, and I cannot agree strongly enough with bigfatdave, get a quality belt, (The Beltman is my hero) and even the crap holsters feel a whole lot better.

Definitely get a good belt. The Supertuck is a very thin holster and requires a solid belt for some solidity.

I 2nd the Beltman. Have had great mileage from the two belts I bought from him. If you want something thick but more discreet, try the tapered ends.

I never could get a perfect position and cant, but some worked better than others. I alternated between just in front of the hip with more cant and a nearly straight appendix carry. Suspect it may have a lot to do with the positions you'll be in most (e.g. sitting vs. standing).

I couldnt tell you, I ordered a crossbreed, they sent the wrong one, I sent it back, they sent it back to me... same holster no note, now we are on the 3rd go round. I will let you know how it fits when I can finally use it.

Seems like a nice holster tho.

3:30 with the front clip one notch up (causes forward cant) on my mini-tuck w/LCP. Haven't found the right combo with the supertuck and PX4 SC, yet. I have a Beltman belt, but just ordered one of Crossbreeds, too.

Just slightly aft of 3:00.

I carry an officer's size 1911 and practically forget it's there. I set the hooks so the kydex is level with the top of the pants for easier holstering.

BTW...I HATE the steel clips. Love the holster, but those steel clips wit the cross cut away will get bent out of shape easily.

I wear my supertuck at 4:00 with a slight forward cant and I love it. I think the metal clips are extremely functional and have had no issues with them bending, etc.

Mark has new steel clips that the crosses are not cut out on. It is stamped in relief. No week spots to bend. He will send them to you free as part of his guarantee.

dom1104, have you sent an E-Mail to Mark? One of the things I love about CB is that you can talk to the owner/designer directly.
Unless you ordered the wrong thing, I'd suspect that somewhere there is another annoyed customer who is getting YOUR holster in the mail over and over, due to a clerical error of some kind.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but would people who CCW a 1911 (either 4" or preferably 5") in one of these possibly PM me with their experiences? Been thinking of getting one for a 5" Kimber, and any more information THR members can give me is appreciated.

Though reading this "how do you wear it" thread certainly answers a few questions in its own right.

Im going to be ordering a crossbreed holster for my sig 226 and will probably have it at 3:00. Will the 5.11 operator belt I have be good enough for this or is leather better?

I carry a 1911 Govt in a Crossbreed supertuck. Position is at about 4:00. I'd guess that it's about as comfortable as can reasonably be expected for IWB for a pistol of this size, but I've not used any other IWB holster. I find it works well enough for me to wear for long periods, but a good belt is a must. I can't say much about the position of the clips - I have them as they came out of the box, and that works.

I've carried my Gov't model with the SuperTuck and it's more comfortable than any other IWB I've used. That being said, I think the gov't model is better OWB.

I carry between 3:30 o'clock and 4 o'clock. Don't recall the clip hole setting. I moved away from the Crossbreed - just wasn't the holster for me.

Clips set as out of the box, at the small of my back but a tad to the right. Keeps my HK45c hidden and extremely comfortable, compared to other IWB holsters. The HK still prints some in summer if I'm not careful, but it's on the big side for a compact.
+1 on a decent belt, though imo a good carhart works just fine.
