Please, for the love of all things sacred, tell me that's some kind of computer photoshop nightmare and the 1911 is really okay???
 
That made me cry just to look at it... And there was a black one in the background...
 
Maybe it's de-milled. The "practice" bombs we used to carry were all painted blue. And "practice" guns are molded from blue plastic. :rolleyes:

Let me put it another way: No accounting for taste...or the lack thereof.
 
That color is the standard color for simunition or disabled training guns. So, in addition to not being my aesthetic cup of tea, it could be a bad idea (unless it is a training gun)

Not really for me but whatever floats your boat:uhoh: Like I said people can do whatever they want to their own guns ad long as they don't come near mine.
 
This should not be the first pic you see when logging on in the morning. There should have been some kind of warning. I choked on my coffee and must have made an awful crying sound because my dog came runnung into my study to see if I was ok. Once I recovered I had to open my gun safe and just look at my Remington Rand 1911A1 and my STI Eagle. I'm okay now.

I could hear my 1911s whimpering inside my safe. I had to take them out, wipe them down, and promise them that'd never happen to them....

At first glance I thought maybe that it was a gun that someone had turned into a dedicated simunitions gun. I don't know anything about how all of that works, but I would assume that the aftermarket trigger, bushing, and guide rod would not be something one would go through the trouble of putting on a simunitions gun... which means someone... painted... their 1911.... blue. :barf: No :barf: offense to the Picasso :barf: whose pistol this may be :barf:


As nero45acp said, everyone needs to take a moment, take out their 1911, whether they be stainless, hard chromed, nickel, or blued, stroke it gently (with oil if you prefer), and reassure it that everything will be alright.

Go crazy with your grips--Not your slides!!!!!! I would have gladly sold you some blue grips had you only asked and saved that poor defenseless slide the pain and horror!

Hey but then again it's your gun do as you wish--Now if that would have been a GI Issue Colt I would have punched you through the computer screen!

I can dig it.

The bushing looks like it is made out of plastic, though, so I think it isn't a functional gun, unless somebody makes a really blocky bushing.
