Im going to set up my Benelli Nova Slug barrel with a cantilever barrel with a Bushnell Banner 1.5x4.5 wide field. The Cantilever mount has extra weaver slots so I'm wondering if it makes sense to double up on the Weaver rings to keep that scope in place with the hard kicking slugs? Either setup I would lap the rings, I'm just wondering if anyone has had problems with the scope shifting under slug recoil, or is doubling up too redundant.
