scope ring q. for H&R slug gun

Have an H&R ultra slug hunter 20 ga. and wondering what height scope rings to use -- high or extra high? Medium are too low because extra height is needed to clear the external hammer on the gun. Want to use lowest rings that clear. Any comments, thanks
