Does anyone have any experience with Novak's "Extreme Duty" adjustable sights?

Its says on the Novak website that the sights are drift adustable for windage with a "lockdown set screw." Does this mean the screw loosens the sight so that it can be drifted in the dovetail, or does the sight drift adjust for windage without sliding in the dovetail?

If the lockdown screw does allow the sight to drift in the dovetail, is a hammer and punch still required to move it?

Does the drift adjustable screw require locktight?

Thanks.

You loosen the lockscrew to move the sight then retighten the lockscrew.

It depends on the cut and fit to the dovetail as to how much force will be required to move the sight.
If cut as intended you can move the sight with moderate thumb pressure.
You could also have the sight fitted tight so that a nylon drift and a hammer are required to tap the sight to the desired adjustment.
I prefer this meathod because once windage is set, it usually does not need to be readjusted on a handgun.

The lockscrew is fine threaded so Locktite isn't really needed, but again, if the owner likes the security, then a drop of blue goo won't hurt anything once the windage is set. HTH
