Now here's Texas for you!

I'm not entirely certain what you're trying to say. Are you saying you wouldn't shoot at a fleeing rapist?

Please note that I'm not arbitrarily defending Texas. I've lived here for all of 4 1/2 years and hardly in love with the place.

But I would have to agree with the jury that the entire blame lies with the wife in this case, based on what was reported.

If I remember correctly, a similar case came up a while ago but he caught them in the bed and she screamed rape. Husband shot the guy in the head, and wife was arrested for murder once details emerged. Don't remember where it was though.

I say good shoot, given the available info at the time, and would hope jurors would see it that way as well, which seems to be the case. As for the wives in these cases... :fire: For putting the husbands in that situation to begin with, and then they have to live with shooting a (fairly) innocent person. The wives deserve exactly what they get.

I watched a A&E American Justice thing a few years ago. It covered 5 murders. 4 of them, were DIRECT or INDIRECT results of "cheating".

I call BS....

The husband probably had a good idea there were issues in the relationship. The fact that he'd shoot someone in a car driving away makes me think?
1. did he have the gun on him
2. where did he get the gun
3. what did his spouse do
4. where did she go when he caught her
5.where was she when the spouse first saw her

The wife was probably a liar and the spouse knew as much and this wasn't the first case of infidelity

I think the article doesn't give enough details so I will with hold judgement for now. Texas is a good state but it seems that sometimes the residents think it is the greatest state ever which is certainly debatable.
