What accessories does one need after buying a certain firearm? For example, Smith and Wesson 29 = tweed jacket.

Tending toward stealthiness, I don;t buy those things that advertise my hobby. Accessories I always buy include such things as concealment holster, bullets, powder, primers, dies, shell plate and etc. Those things that keep me shooting.

Hoslters, and dies.

I have been wanting a 29, actually 629, but no plans for tweed jacket.

Single Action Revolver=leather belt and holster. Stetson optional.

Double Action Revolver=IWB holster (J frame), OWB holster (K, L, and N frame), a couple of speedloaders.

Semi-auto Pistol=Kydex holster and lots of mags.

Caliber conversion kit, dies, bullets, brass, and powder/primers as required if what I have on hand is not suitable. Soft case to carry to/from the range. Caliber specific cleaning tools as needed (brush, jag, patches).

Adding a caliber generally adds about $500 in accessories and supplies.

Cleaning kit if you don't have one tailored to that caliber because universal kits SUCK with few exception. Holster/sling, scope/scope rings for rifle, mags for autos, speedloader for revolvers, and last but not least a pair of diamond earrings to distract the little lady as you bring your newest aquisition home.

.
Bolt action carbine with detachable box magazine? Need extra mags.

Range time.

Shooting sling. andysleather.com

Gunsite course.

Have 3 out of 4 so far, and that's just for that rifle...

Got a new Glock, getting new sights.

Got a new AK, getting a US Palm grip, Kreb's retaining plate, and an Arsenal 2-stage trigger group. May transition to ALG Defense trigger groups if I like them.

Got a new AR, getting a BCM Mod 0 stock and Mod 3 grip.

Got a new 870, getting an upgraded CDF spring and a Wilson Combat magazine spring.

Tweed jacket?

I dont think my 29's would recognise a tweed jacket if they tripped over it on the street.

Dirty Harry wore a tweed jacket. Dirty Harry carried a Model 29. CONNECTION.

And the lever action rifle with the crossed bandoleers - they need to have bolt-action Mauser cartridges in them. smiliesnicker_zpsd3f8a63d.gif

AR15 = plate carrier with level 5 plates capable of stopping multiple 338 lapua hits to the back; drop leg holster, glock, and no ammo or training for either. :D I kid, i kid...

Seriously, though: If it has a cylinder or a lever it has to have nice leather to go with it. If it goes bang then ammo.

Although, when I bought my 1894 30-30 I got a horse and saddle to go with it!

If it’s a new-to-me caliber, loading dies and bullet mold. I’ve got boxes of just about any other accessory except the tweed jacket. It would take more like a “Bomber” jacket to cover my model 29.

1911? 511 pants and a vest.
AR15? BDU pants and black t-shirt.
Glock? Proud and loud Glock hat and bumpersticker.
Anything Remington? A return shipping box.
