At least they caught him quickly.

And it was because he "returned to the scene of the crime"

Driving through the crime scene tape, yeah, that'll make the cops a little suspicious.

Good that he was apprehended before anything else could happen. Can't wait to see what other info. they dig up about 'junior's' past: upbringing, being bullied...or was it a girl who didn't return his affections? Honestly I'm tired of these time bombs ticking around in public. :cuss: :fire:

it's a shame, Florence used to be a good neighborhood. seems to me we have too many idiots in omaha, and their making it seem like all males under the age of 20 in omaha looking for a gun are crazy. I went to a gun store the other day to look at an AR15 and the guy made it clear by his body language and the way he talked and tone of voice and what not that he did not want me to be looking at a gun.

Jeepers, did you see the mug shot of that kid? I'm betting that he won't have that defiant look after a few weeks in jail.

Ummm... I don't believe this to be germane in the slightest sense. This comment is nothing more than a red herring attempt to demonize hunting in particular and gun ownership in general.

    Gg1985,

Pheasant hunting in Nebraska is as commonplace as fishing is in Florida. Being the relative is from Nebraska, the shooter is from Nebraska and the paper is in Nebraska, I wouldn't jump too soon to assume it was a slam on hunting.

What?? Since when did Omaha become a mini DC?? I was there in the AF from 92-98 and only remember hearing about a few the whole time. Good grief.

I'd love to know what this kid's motives were. No outward indication of being disturbed.

It was last summer---where there was a shooting every day in July-August---some leading to a killing----95% on the near north side----just that part of town ----the rest of city is pretty much a peacefull place----take the 8-9 deaths at Westroads off and you basically cut the total number by 25% or so.

Omaha is getting to be a very big city---not the town where you could get anywhere in 15 minutes---those days are long gone.

Omaha is becoming the Bridgeport, CT of the Midwest.

Anyone else see Sen. Chambers' bill to ban hunting in Nebraska? Thank god for term limits.

Bridgeport actually turned the corner a few years ago and has improved...

I am sure it will swing back soon enough though probably.
