I got this yesterday from the NRA and was wondering if anyone else received it? I emailed the NRA with a legislative questions so I'm wondering if this is my response from them. Hummmm. I think I'm going to call in and see if I can get through. Here's the email I received:

"You helped me build NRANews.com. Now let me thank you.

NRANews.com and Sirius Patriot 141 invite you to log on and tune in Thursday, April 14 through Saturday, April 16, and join us for a historic broadcast of NRA's gun show and member's meeting live from Houston, Texas.

You'll tour over 5 acres of guns, gear and outfitters. You'll meet Thomas Hamill and hear the story of his dramatic escape from Iraqi insurgents. You'll hear Congressman Tom DeLay's stalwart defense of your Second Amendment rights. You'll join me for a celebration of 25 years of NRA victories and our hard-earned status as the most effective political force in America.

You'll see NRANews.com bring our message of truth about your guns, your freedoms and YOU to the far corners of the country and the world. And I want you to join me in the broadcast booth for this watershed moment in the Second Amendment's history.

Please join me as a live call-in guest at any time during our three-day broadcast. I want to hear from you. I want your opinion. I want you to help me chart NRA's course for the future.

For a full schedule of broadcasts and events, or to receive e-mail reminders before the shows, click http://www.nranews.org/UM/T.asp?A2.16.1583.2.2775725. Thanks for your support. I look forward to hearing from you."

I would like to ask the "most effective political force in America" why I need to count import parts on my imported rifles and why I can't conceal carry and about a dozen other firearm related issues.

Beating your breast and self-proclamation get you no-where.
