This week May 12th - May 16th is Gun Week on the Glen Beck show. See the notification from the NRA below:

You can also listen via the internet if you sign up as an "insider".

Dear Fellow NRA Member,

In honor of NRA's upcoming annual meeting and his keynote address to our annual banquet on Saturday May 17, Glenn Beck is holding "Gun Rights Week" on both his radio and T.V. shows.

These shows will be broadcast on the Premiere Radio Network's 280 stations from 9 a.m. to noon, Eastern, and on CNN Headline News Network every night at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Each day, Glenn will feature a new gun rights segment on his shows. I'll be his guest on Tuesday, and NRA-ILA's Chris Cox will be the featured guest on Wednesday. And each day for the rest of the week, there will be another firearm freedom expert talking to Glenn and millions of his listeners.

The toll free call-in number for Glenn's radio show is 1-888-727-BECK. So if you have a question or comment about the elections, Right-to-Carry, crime, the Supreme Court Heller case, Castle Doctrine, or any Second Amendment issue, CALL!

For more information on broadcast times, stations and special guests, visit www.GlennBeck.com and click the "radio" or "T.V." banners. Glenn will also be providing transcripts and video links to all the interviews and segments in his free daily email newsletter, which you can sign up for on his site.

As one more favor to me, be sure to tell every gun owner you know about these important broadcasts. Please take a moment today, while you're sitting at your computer, to forward this e-mail to your contact list.

Also, be sure to keep your eyes on the national news this Friday between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern, when NRA kicks off our weekend-long event with our Celebration of American Values Leadership Forum.

Confirmed speakers include Kentucky Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo, T.V. personality Ollie North, political strategist Karl Rove, former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Senator Mitch McConnell, Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell, Governor Mike Huckabee, Governor Mitt Romney, and John McCain.

Over 10,000 NRA members will attend, making this the largest political event in NRA's history.

All the major national news outlets will have cameras and reporters on hand to cover this event. Live, for over four hours on Friday afternoon-and in thousands of broadcast hours, and electronic and print pages to follow-NRA and our election-year defense of Second Amendment will dominate the news.

Thanks again for your support of NRA and thanks for helping spread the word about these important broadcast events!

Sometimes I agree with him, sometimes I don't, but I listen to his radio show most every day.

The man is entertaining.

Glenn has a way with words that few in the media have. He calls a spade a spade and will stand behind his words. I like him.

Ya, I enjoy Glen Beck as well. More than Hannity or O'Reilly.

But I do have to say that sometimes he goes a little over-board sometimes. Have you ever heard him talk about Iran??

Glenn Beck is way better then the neo cons when it comes to guns. What he does sound stupid about is how he almost quotes Ron Paul's running platform word for word then says Ron Paul is wrong on so much.

Who still listens to talk radio now that we have the internets? :D

Glenn is clearly pandering to his "conservative" audience to help his sagging ratings. Up until recently he didn't even own a gun, and admitted he knew next to nothing about the issue (it also sounded like he didn't even "care" about the 2nd amendment until very recently). This smells like a ratings strategy all the way.

Confirmed speakers include Kentucky Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo , T.V. personality Ollie North :scrutiny:, political strategist Karl Rove , former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Senator Mitch McConnell, Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell , Governor Mike Huckabee, Governor Mitt Romney :scrutiny:, and John McCain :barf:.

Glen Beck is nothing more than a political hack. He doesn't care about the 2nd Amendment. He's a fake like Rush, Laura Ingram, and the other fake conservative talk show host who supported Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney supports another Assault Weapons Ban. Anyone who endorses someone like Romney, really has no grip on the true intent of the 2nd Amendment. After watching Glen Beck, bashing both Huckabee and Ron Paul constantly during the primary season, I have absolutely pure disdain for this guy.

I like Gleen. He is entertaining, but is also a thinker. Pick up a copy of "An Inconvenient Book" to get a better understanding of his thoughts. Glen is an NRA member and supports a multitude of individual rights, among them 2A. We could do worse that having him on our side. Sometimes he is a little 'out there', but for the most part he makes sense.

I liked what Bobby Jindal had to say in tonight's interview. This guy is the next generation of the Republican Party.

Sharpshooter74, there really were no good candidates on either side of the aisle this time. Glenn, Rush, and Laura had to pick who they thought was the best of the lot. Yes, they are political shows, that is the point of them. I don't see how you can fault them for supporting who they tought was the best of a bunch of mediocre candidates.

glenn beck is wrong on a lot of things and he constantly shows that he's not very smart. one time i saw him interview a random muslim guy who wrote a book about our economy and the first thing he asked was "how do i know you're not a terrorist?" also, i find his reportings on the texas border patrolmens' imprisonment kinda skewed. BUT IF THERE'S ONE THING I LIKE ABOUT THE GUY, HE GIVES PROGUN PEOPLE AIR TIME. i think we don't get enough of that in the media, especially on cnn. these days everything is "high power" or "assault weapon." on top of that, glenn really nails a lot of the arguments that can shut the anti's up, and he brings on credible guests to support his points (governor of LA for example, tho i'm suprised he didn't ask him if he's a terrorist haha).

Good points. If Glenn keeps this up then I'll start thinking he's sincere. Until then I still think this is a ratings stunt (because no other "conservative" talk host is doing anything like it, thus it becomes an effective tool for ratings). I assess people based on the long term and not based on a blitz like this that has the smell of ratings motivation. Lou Dobbs for example seems genuinely pissed about the batfe raping our rights. Lou is putting his career on the line a little bit by siding with the 2nd amendment so much and being sincere about it. Glenn and his "Gun Week" is nice but we'll see if Glenn helps us out when the chips are down (as Lou has).
