NRA Life membership, worthwhile?

I've been a life member for many years (member since 1973)and the ONLY phone calls I get from the NRA is from ILA. Then only to alert me to pending Alabama firearms legislation. As for mailings,I get very little(which I toss unopened). Maybe I should complain about being left out.
