NRA life memberships

I went to the NRA website to find out about a life membership, and the first page at I see at the NRA website quoted $1500. No links to discounts, no discussion. Ouch!

I did a search and I found another web page, allegedly on the NRA website, offering the membership for $600. I'm suspicious as to whether this is a legit NRA site or a scam.

What can an NRA life membership currently be had for, and what is the legit link to it?

Wish the $300 deal would come back. I'd buy it as a gift for a couple people I know that are just getting into firearms.

They should bring back the easy pay life membership. I did mine in the late 80's,60 bucks every three months until paid off.
