Got an email from the NRA and Wayne LaPierre, stating that for the first time in 20 years dues will be going up across the board for all membership levels. Has anybody else heard or seen this, and is it just an advertising tactic to get me to renew early?

I got notice of the increase a month or two ago. There are discounts for renewing before the first of the year. I'm on a fixed income retirement but I'll be renewing again.
For the folks who are grousing about the increase, don't join/renew. I'm sure the DNC will be glad to have your money instead.

I used the opportunity to upgrade all the way from life to Benefactor for a fraction of the normal cost. :D

I agree with several posters here. I'll be upgrading from Life to Endowment for the $200 bucks. You can pay it in $25 installments.

The thought of Hillary established at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue (again!), made me open my wallet very quickly! :D

This is probably gonna sound stupid but...
I just renew every year. I know it cost more but I don't care. It makes me feel good when I renew. Sort of like I am contributing to the cause. If it goes up, so be it. What doesn't?

So you're equating not renewing an NRA membership to giving money to the DNC? Seems legit…

Lol I do the same thing. The NRA life member license plate does look purdy though.

I have watched the offers carefully over the years. For several years I just did the annual renewal. Then one day I got an offer for Life Membership for $200. I did that a few years ago. This year I got an offer for Endowment Membership for $200.00, so I did that. So the sum total of all my years of membership is probably under $600.00 total.

If you want to support the NRA (or need to because of range requirements) and can't afford $25, they still have the Associate Membership at $10.00.

I guess I've chosen the most expensive way to become a Life Member by being on the EPL plan . I never get the "upgrade for $200" offers. I don't mind that much because I'm happy to contribute to the NRA but I wouldn't mind the Life Member title either...

I've tried these before:

No special offers are available based on the information entered. Please re-enter your NRA Member ID, Zip Code and Security Code, or contact the NRA by phone toll free at 1-(855)-NRA-2015.

I upgraded my LIFE membership to ENDOWMENT for $200.00.

Like it or not Hillary Clinton has made this election about gun rights.
Tell me more about this and provide a link please. I would like to do the same. Thnx.

ETA: Never mind, saw it lower in the posts. Just upgraded to Endowment member.
Thanks!!!!

Just renewed for 5 yrs. @ $100.00. Getting an NRA knife as a gift.
That is all I can do. I wanted the lifetime for $500.00.

I've been an NRA member for six years, paying annually.

It's a tough time of year with the holidays fast approaching, wife's, then son's birthdays coming up and working less than full time on this particular work assignment... but I just commited to an NRA "Easy Pay" Life Membership for $25 monthly. This is a fantastic option!

Support the NRA! It has to be the greatest civil rights organization in U.S. history.

Consider giving some memberships to others as a Christmas gift. Good way to poke at libs  or to keep a new shooter in the loop. Also, increases the rolls which always helps!

I just learned that not only will NRA Annual Dues increase, but the Lifetime (and the Easy Pay Lifetime option) will increase from Five Hundred Dollars to Fifteen Hundred Dollars. That an increase of 300%!

Renew now!
