May 3 Neal Knox Update -- What a week.

It opened with the NRA Annual Meetings in Orlando -- where
there was a united front against reenacting the so-called "assault
weapon" law -- followed by the Minnesota's governor signing a
freshly passed "shall-issue" carry law, and wound up with the
Missouri legislature passing another such law in defiance of the
governor and metropolitan newspapers.

The other major event yesterday was a sharply divided D.C.
Federal Court panel's decision striking down parts of the McCain-
Feingold Campaign Finance law in a 1,600-page opinion. But they
upheld the ban on radio and TV ads attacking -- or reporting -- the
views of Federal politicians.

This is great news.

More sickening than our enemies is the though of emnity from within our ranks. NRA caving on this would kill us, the NRA (like it or not) Being our sizeable gunowner collective voice.

I don't know if we'll win this or not. But with the NRA raising hell I fell 10x better than I do if they were silent.
