Came across this Marlin/Glenfield Model 25 .22 rifle recently at a local pawn shop.
I'm not sure how long they have been out of production but the condition of this gun was amazing. Except for some residue in the barrel it might have passed for new-no box.
Condition notwithstanding, I now have the stock stripped and sanded. Can't get much out of a plain piece of what I suspect is birch, but still, the thin factory finish looked bland, and a TruOil is my favorite finish anyway.
Might try the TruOil/Armorall approach on this gun even, not sure.
Anyone know the years of production of this rifle by any chance?
